Pol Quadens works in design and sculpture since the late 80's. He has crossed all the experiences from mass production CD racks and objects to unique creations made by hand in his atelier of Brussels. He's attracted by new materials and technique, the Corian has been his favorite for 10 years between 2005 and 2015 Now he's back to Stainless steel with success since 2014. Today although the design in a limited edition is still his core business, the sculpture field is more and more his attraction and passion. Despite the pandemic times in 2020 Pol has installed not less than two gigantic sculptures in Switzerland and Brussels Belgium. The "démarche" of Pol in sculpture is influenced by philosophy from the pre-socratiques to Hegel. Pol takes the primal value of man he re design it, show it in a huge sculptural representation to focus people of modern times on their first step and actions on earth. In design He has a minimal point of view and he searches the limit of stability to reach the perfect balance. Magician with materials, Pol plays like a child in a playground with techniques, materials, pushing the quality to a limit that his notorious in the collectors world allows him to do more and more.
