This is an antique folding silver table. A Chinese, mahogany two piece serving tray, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850. Delightful example of Chinese Chippendale taste with ornate fretwork Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order Select stocks show fine grain interest and deep caramel hues Articulated, folding frame hosts the generous serving tray Striking carved fretwork accentuates the tray sides with foliate vines Distinctive inset silver plated monogram with the initials PD Engraved blossom tree decoration tastefully surrounds the monogram Quartet of slender legs adorned with foliate relief carvings This is an exceptional antique folding silver table with wonderful colour and fascinating carved details throughout. Perfect as a coffee table or used as an afternoon tea tray. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
