After Pablo Picasso (Spanish/ French, 1881-1973), Buste de Femme au Chapeau Bleu, serigraph on silk. A hand-colored and hand pulled scarf in 12 colors, it is number 242 from an unsigned limited edition of 1000. The scarf has been smartly framed in giltwood under plexiglass.

About:
Born in 1950 Marina Picasso is the granddaughter of Pablo Picasso. Marina inherited a collection of Picasso paintings, some of which have been made available as limited editions. This work is #242 from a 1000 limited edition serigraphs on silk and is hand-cut and hand-pulled from a plate of 12 colours
Marina was 22 years old when Picasso died without a will, she inherited a fifth of the artist’s estate despite never being given any of his work when she was alive and having no relationship with him. Gripped by the pain of the poor family relationships and Picasso’s treatment of her father and his family, her first gesture after inheriting his villa was to turn all Picasso’s paintings to face the wall.
