About the Item

German tapestry hand-woven in 1968 with dimensions 200 cm. x 150 cm. dominant color warm red. The tapestry is generously sized, with a well-defined weave that reflects the craftsmanship of the period. The abstract design unfolds in a dynamic interplay of fluid and irregular shapes, creating a sense of energy and vitality. The color red is the absolute protagonist, declined in a rich range of shades of red with more delicate shades of pink and coral. These warm colors blend and overlap, creating effects of depth and visual texture. Hints of burnt orange emerge among the red hues, adding further warmth and brightness to the composition. The tapestry seems to capture the spirit of the 1960s, a period of artistic innovation and experimentation, with an aesthetic reminiscent of abstract painting and expressionist movements. It can evoke images of fiery sunsets, emotional landscapes or simply an evolving inner universe, leaving ample room for personal interpretation. The weaver's signature in brown lettering can be seen on the right side. On the back of the tapestry, there is the date of hand-embroidered weaving with white wool "1968." This detail not only confirms the authenticity and production period of the tapestry, but also adds historical and collector value, turning it into an even more unique and valuable object.
