About the Item

A hand signed Untitled dynamic pastel by Veronica Benning is presented in a gold contemporary frame with a clean white mat. The piece features exposed lines revealing the artist's hand in this orbital abstraction. Gestural, organic forms create a fluid composition, blending abstraction with a timeless color study. Veronica Ann Benning (1947-2013), based in Fort Myers, FL, was known for her pastel drawings mixed media paintings. She earned a BFA from Washington University and an MFA from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art. Benning taught painting at the Portland School of Art (now Maine College of Art) and the University of Southern Maine. After moving to Florida in 1993, she continued to paint regularly. Her work reflected her connection to the Maine landscape and her lifelong exploration of visual perception. Excellent condition. Sight measurement: 10.5 x 7.5"
