About the Item
Fascinating mixed media wall sculpture created on a 3 dimensional rustic wooden mold, fashioned into a sort of shadow box conjuring memories of other generations and titled “Nana”. Shards from an antique reverse painting on glass of a red headed lady represents the artist’s grandmother for whom she was named. The crevices of the mold hold fragments of vintage ephemera like dreamlike memories: The handle of a cane, an enamel table ringer, a rusty eggbeater, and antique brooch with a photo of “Fay”.
