A lot in going on in these eclectic serialized icons by the Danish artist Mogens Leander. From traditional Byzantine orthodox style, over the Renaissance and Neoclassicism his own interpretation and modern idiom gives birth to a hole new genre of modern icons. They represent a magic world where our present-day, information based society merges with a world of symbols dating back thousands of years.
