Modern Marquetry and Back Light Glass Wall Piece
About the Item
Marquetry and glass.
Framed in walnut and lit from the back with a dimmable switch.
Marquetry incorporating bird's-eye maple, American walnut, dyed American tulip, figured Anegre and fumed figured eucalyptus veneers amongst others.
Back light glass pieces fabricated under Orfeo Quagliata's "Barcode" technique, a fine linear design with schemes of different colors that contrast with the wood. Thin strips of different colored glass are placed next to each other and then fused into a single piece.
Collaboration between Woodpop and Studio Orfeo Quagliata.
Executed between Mexico and the UK.
