Acrylic painting by Ukranian-Dutch artist Oleg Bondarenko. Painted in Sweden in 1921. Signed á tergo.
I have no relationship to the color green - but I love to paint the nature The words are Oleg Bondarenko´s, born in Odessa Ukraine 1968. Moved to the west inte early 90´s and Oleg has since gained a Dutch citizenship.
Deeply rooted in art history since he was schooled into classical renaissance art at the age of 10. Went on to study architecture and art at university in Moscow. He borrows technique, color schemes and composition techniques from classical masters like Botticelli and Caravaggio but paint with his own modern voice. Oleg is enchanted by nature and its cycles and in the tranquility he gets his inspiration. The autumn that prepares for winter, the darkness of winter with fading colors. Colors that are reborned with full power during the spring reminding us of Gustav Klimts palet.
Has since the turn of the century been traveling and exhibiting in the US, Spain, Italy, Holland, Sweden and Brazil to name a few.
