About the Item
Aluminum wall sculpture by Swedish artist Arne Jones dating from the 1970s. Composed of 9 aluminum plates stacked and attached to each other by four rivets. This multiple is supposed to have been made at about 4000 copies. 3000 copies for the first production and then 1000 more for the second production at the end of the 1970s. . They seem to appear both signed and unsigned. Some light marks and scratches on the top. Otherwise:: in very good condition.
The aluminium sculpture has been applied on black wood.

Leo Olavi Laukkanen (11 October 1913 Helsinki - 1 November 1978 Helsinki) was a Finnish sculptor. He is particularly known for his abstract miniature sculptures, most of which are made of granite.
Laukkanen studied at the Central School of Art and Design from 1931 to 1933. Although the best-known part of Laukkanen's output consists of abstract sculptures, in the early and late stages of his career he also made figurative sculptures in both stone and bronze, including female figures. In 1980, Helsinki Art Hall hosted an extensive memorial exhibition of Laukkanen's works, which he had bequeathed to the Finnish Artists' Association.
