18th Century Italian Gilt Tabernacle Door with Turquoise Baroque Pearls

About the Item

18th century Italian gold gilded tabernacle door adorned with naturally forming baroque pearls. This door once belonged on a tabernacle which housed the eucharist in a church. In the center of the door is a depiction of a chalice with an impressed crucifix and surrounded with sunrays on a cloud. The inset is painted a marbleized turquoise and dark blue. The door is framed with coordinating turquoise baroque pearls and crowned with a band of baroque pearl crucifixes. *Can be displayed with a stand or hung on a wall. Size: 17" high x 12" wide x 1" deep
