19th Century French Hand Painted Faience Wall Platter from Brittany
About the Item
This large ceramic platter was sculpted in Brittany, France, circa 1880. The colorful, antique plate features a hand painted, outdoor banquet scene with Breton people eating, drinking and dressed in traditional clothing. The oval platter is further embellished by painted decor around the perimeter including four different Brittany crests. The wall decoration is in excellent condition with rich colors in the blue and yellow palette.
