An original first print run Polish Cyrk (Circus) poster from 1975 featuring art by Waldemar Swierzy. Swierzy's wonderfully surreal design of a half-woman half-lion comforting a rather forlorn male lion speaks volumes.
This original vintage poster is sized 25 6/8 x 38 1/8 inches and in fab condition for its age. It will be sent rolled (unframed).

Waldemar Swierzy
Born in Warsaw, Świerzy was one of the masters of Polish poster art. Graduate of the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts, from 1995 to 2011 he was the head of the poster design studio at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. His work is included in the collection of the MOMA and he won many prestigious poster and graphic design awards throughout his long and storied career.
