Japanese Antique Wooden Board / Wall Decoration Abstract Art / Wabi-Sabi

About the Item

This is an old Japanese workboard. It was called "Mochiita" and was used as a workbench for kneading flour. It seems to be around the Meiji period. The board is thought to be pine and is made of a single seamless board. The white part hardens over time and has an artistic expression. There is some distortion, but it is rare for this "Mochiita" to remain with a black perimeter and a coagulated white powder. As shown in the picture, if you decorate it as a wall-mounted art, I think it will be an accent of the space. When hung on the wall, it looks like an abstract painting, and it is very beautiful. I hope you enjoy decorating the beauty that has changed over time as an art. Weight: 13kg
