About the Item

An Art Nouveau inspired color aquatint etching on paper depicting a female nude with botanical flowers by Polish artist Barbara Rosiak. Hand signed in pencil on the bottom right with an annotation of 8/30. Titled bottom left. Taking inspiration from modern artists like Gustav Klimt and Alphonse Mucha, organic lines and forms found in nature create a powerful feminine aesthetic. From the personal collection of famed artist, Dominic Pangborn. Dimensions: 24.75"w x 1.25"d x 31"h. In very good vintage condition. Barbara Rosiak is a Polish painter and graphic designer born in 1955 in Lodz. The etchings that she does are colorful and make reference to classical techniques of the Renaissance, Baroque and New Art. The subjects approached by the artists revolve around landscapes. Barbara Rosiak has participated in more than 90 group exhibitions. We can admire his pieces at the National Museum of Szczecin, at the Museum of Gdask-oliwa, at the National Museum of Toru, at the Stadt Museum in Sint Niklaas, as well as in the Public Library of Nancy and at the Boston Public Library. The artist has also done numerous solo exhibitions in Europe, Asia and in the United States.
