About the Item
These Paul Cornoyer (1864-1923) pencil sketches all bear labels from the David Findlay Jr.Gallery and were exhibited in the 1973 Cornoyer Retrospective at The Lakeview Center for The Arts & Sciences in Peoria Illinois. The exhibit drew heavily from the collection of Dr. & Mrs. Lawrence Ashby, who loaned multiple paintings to the exhibit, as well as over 20 works on paper. In 1908 Cornoyer was honored with an exhibition at The Albright, Buffalo NY, and membership in The National Academy of Design in 1909.
