About the Item

Early 20th century, highly decorative movie projectors with possibly a very rare film inside. Thanks to their wonderful look and feel, these earliest of modern era movie projectors will now make great display items. At the beginning of the 20th century these would be cutting edge movie-watching technology, affordable for the happy few only. One of these projectors holds an original, antique film/cartoon of Felix The Cat (titled: Felix le Chat chez les Singes). The other one also holds a movie/film, but that one seems to be empty/without images. To collectors the rare 1920s Felix the Cat cartoon/film could be more valuable than our price for this set of antique projectors. We just don't know and we don't mind when somebody gets a great deal. Compared to the 'magic lanterns' that were used before, these projectors were obviously considered as electrical marvels of modern technology & engineering. And in my view the quality of the make & the beauty of these circa 1910 designs make them as wonderful and as aesthetically pleasing as the day they were made. In some of our photos we show them as bookends, but standing by themselves on a desk or in a bookcase they will look awesome too. Our price for this set even includes perfect packing and also worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 4 days. Maximum height x width x depth: 12.6 x 7.7 x 4.5 inches.
