About the Item
A work as much a study of lunar light as of circular composition. Observing the moon’s variances, in shadow, in illumination, the photograph carries something elemental in its sparse simplicity.
Californian photographer, Rolfe Horn (b.1971) has a surrealistic interpretation to landscape. Poetic, still, expansive, Horn’s typically monochromatic landscapes often veer toward abstraction, where time seems to be held in suspense. Working in long exposures, Horn creates each photograph in the dark room, a devoted practice he started decades ago as a teenager.
A framed gelatin silver print, signed, dated and numbered ‘1/45’. Can be bought individually, also as a set. The frame matches the one used for our ‘Street lamp’ print by Rolfe Horn.
