Rare, original issue poster, of Hockney's original 1971 painting, "Pool and Steps" (Le Nid du Doc,")
This original lithograph was printed in Denmark, on heavy stock, with a glossy finish.
British born, Hockney took up residence in the canyons of Los Angeles, California, where he developed an avid appreciation of his new tropical environment, particularly water and his backyard pool..
His LA works are frequently done in softer, pastel shades of blue, pink, and green, a diversion from his boldly colored, portrait paintings.
