'The Birds' Original Vintage Movie Poster by Boris Grinsson, French, 1963
About the Item
A spooky French moyenne poster by prolific French poster artist Boris Grinsson for the original release of Alfred Hitchcock's 1963 psychological masterpiece 'The Birds,' starring blonde beauty Tippi Hendren in her debut role. Based on Daphne du Maurier's 1952 short story of the same name, the suspense-filled thriller set in an eerie Northern California coastal town besieged by a series of unexplained violent bird attacks remains one of the most terrifying films ever made.
CONDITION
Archivally backed on linen. Backing has smoothed and diminished one vertical and one horizontal machine fold and tiny edge splits to folds upper and right edge. Slight darkening to folds and edges typical of French movie paper of this period. Image and colours otherwise excellent. Printed in France by Cinemato, Paris.
