Very rare original German poster for Der Herr der Welt / Master of the World 1934.
This is an exceptionally important and rare early sci-fi poster. There are fewer than five known surviving examples.
This poster is one of the earliest posters featuring a robot. Two decades later the classical robot was in its heyday, starring in numerous sci-fi films, such as Forbidden Planet and Tobor the Great. German printing in the early 1930s was extremely high quality, and printed by stone lithography.
The art work on this poster is by Alexander M. Kaiser (1887-1971)
This poster is conservation linen backed and it would be shipped rolled in a very strong tube and sent by Federal Express.
