The 2012 French Open was a tennis tournament that took place on the outdoor clay courts at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France. The tournament was held from late May until early June. It was the 116th staging of the French Open, and the second Grand Slam tennis event of 2012. Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova won the men's and women's singles respectively.
Roland Garros is well known for its stunning posters for each event, hiring notable artists to compose the artworks. This edition was created by French artist Herve Di Rosa, best known for his painting work.
