This image is so famous that a similar pose for the Star Wars poster “The Empire Strikes Back” was dubbed "The Gone with the Wind style”. Poster from the 1969 re-release of this epic of the 20th century cinema (this being the 30-year anniversary of the film). The poster carries the classic image of "Rhett" (Gable) holding "Scarlett" (Vivien Leigh) with Atlanta burning orange in the background.
This is an Original Film Poster produced by the studio to be displayed in the movie theatres to promote the film when it was first released in the UK.
