About the Item
Original US film poster for the 1974 film.
This drama was directed and co-written by Liliana Cavani, and stars Dirk Bogarde, Charlotte Rampling and Philippe Leroy. After a chance meeting at a Viennese hotel thirteen years after World War II, between a concentration camp survivor and her torturer, now the hotel porter, they recommence their sadomasochistic relationship. This poster was signed by Charlotte Rampling at the BFI, London, when Ms. Rampling was promoting the film 45 Years.
It is rare for anyone to have an original film poster signed, as the majority of signatures are on pieces of paper, photographs and video/dvd sleeves. It is unusual to have the film's poster with you when you try to obtain signatures. This poster is in very good condition, with the colours remaining very bright. There are a couple of marks, one running along the white border on the right-hand side, and the other along the yellow border in the bottom of the poster, which goes into the white left-hand side. There are also a couple of marks along the very bottom edge of the poster. None of these affect the main image. This poster is unfolded and it would be shipped by Federal Express rolled in a strong tube if outside the UK.
