Le Petit Soldat / The Little Soldier

About the Item

Original French film poster for Le Petit Soldat the 1963 French New Wave film that was written and directed by Jean-Luc Godard, and stars Anna Karina, Michel Subor and Henri-Jacques Huet. The film is set during the Algerian War, and tells the story of a man and a woman from opposing terrorist groups who fall in love. This poster was signed by Anna Karina when she was a special guest at the BFI, London. It is rare for anyone to have an original film poster signed, as the majority of signatures are on pieces of paper, photographs and video/dvd sleeves. It is unusual to have the film's poster with you when you try to obtain signatures. The poster is from the Sohal collection. This poster is conservation linen backed and would be shipped rolled in a strong tube.
