Original candid photographic production still for the film The Misfits.
This film was written by Arthur Miller, directed by John Huston, and stars Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe and Montgomery Clift. Roslyn Taber (Marilyn Monroe) heads to Reno, Nevada to get a quick divorce. The film is about her time there, and the people that she meets: her friendly landlady (Thelma Ritter), ageing cowboy (Clark Gable), the cowboy's friend (Eli Wallach) and their rodeo-riding friend (Montgomery Clift). Monroe, Gable, Clift and Wallach all gave really superb performances in this film.
This piece is framed in a Sapele wood frame with acid free card mounts and UV plexiglass.
