Original antique advertising poster for Humber bicycles featuring a heavenly illustration of a fashionably dressed lady with a bicycle lit up from the shining sun behind her and the faces of ladies as angels with wings in the clouds around her, the text curved over the image above. Known as "the aristocrat among bicycles" Humber cycles was a premium British manufacturer of bicycles founded by Thomas Humber (1841-1910), expanding overseas during the 1890s. Printed by Kossuth & Cie, Paris. Large size. Fair condition, restored paper losses, restored tears, restored creasing, staining, backed on old linen.
