Original antique political election propaganda poster featuring a humorous illustration depicting an annoyed looking John Bull in a red waistcoat and boots holding a whip in one hand and, in his other hand a man by the scruff of the neck, a caricature of the Leader of the Irish Parliamentary Party John Edward Redmond (1856-1918) in a green coat and holding a bag of money marked $200,000 and a club marked 71 votes in front of the Palace of Westminster Houses of Parliament with the text British Constitution on it, the bold title in red Halt! and speech quote in black - John Bull: "Look here I can stand a good lot but this is the limit!" - on the side. A satirical character that was first used in 1712, John Bull is a personification of the British public. Published by The National Union of Conservative & Constitutional Associations.
