Original antique poster - The Empire Our Master Hope Stanley Baldwin - featuring a great patriotic design depicting a lion standing on a podium above illustrations of British Empire territories including a map in red of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland at the top with maps of Australia and New Zealand, South Africa, the Indian Empire and Canada on the corners of the decorative text box with the quote by Baldwin in the centre, and a view of British steam ships sailing on the ocean as bold wavy blue sea lines in the background. The Conservative politician Stanley Baldwin (1st Earl Baldwin of Bewdley; 1867-1947) served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1923-1924, 1924-1929 and 1935-1937. Published by Hancock, Corfield and Waller Ltd. Good condition, restored paper losses, restored tears, staining, backed on linen.
