Original antique advertising poster - Ferry Boats Zeebrugge Harwich Transports en wagons directs Vervoer met directe wagons. Dynamic design featuring an ancient mythological image of a god or deity wearing a winged helmet and holding a caduceus staff entwined with two serpents (symbolising travel and transport, commerce and logistics), pointing down to a freight train crossing the Channel at speed on two red railway lines from Zeebrugge to Harwich, with the black, yellow and red flag of Belgium and Union Jack flag of the United Kingdom flying above him. Lithograph by O. De Rycker, Brussels. Good condition, restored tears, restored folds, restored paper losses, restored pinholes, creasing, staining, ink stamp on top left corner, backed on linen.
