Original antique advertising poster for Liqueur Menthe Pastille E. Giffard distillateur Angers featuring an Art Nouveau style illustration of an elegant lady in a fashionable green dress pouring herself a drink from a bottle into a glass watched by a young cupid child with angel wings set on a red background. Menthe Pastille is a refreshing mint drink created by the French pharmacist Emile Giffard in 1885; the company is still run by the family today. Printed by P. Vercasson, Paris. Good condition, restored paper losses on image and margins, restored tears, restored folds, backed on linen.
