Original antique poster in French - Emprunt de la Paix Souscrivez a la Banque Industrielle de Chine / Peace Loan Subscribe to the Industrial Bank of China (based in Shanghai and Paris; 1913-1922) - featuring a great artwork showing an evening scene of a busy Chinese harbour depicting two men in a small boat transporting goods in the foreground with junk boats sailing on the water and cruise ships moored in front of traditional Chinese pagoda buildings in the background, the sunset light reflecting on the sea and the text above and below in stylised black and red letters. Printed in Paris. Good condition, restored tears, restored paper losses, staining, backed on linen.
