Original antique travel poster for Lake Maggiore / Le Lac Majeur par Dijon Vallorbe Le Simplon issued by the Chemins de Fer Paris Lyon Mediterranee PLM railway featuring a scenic coastal view by the landscape artist Julien Lacaze (1886-1971) depicting the lake with colourful flowers and palm trees by a statue and stone steps in the foreground, a boat sailing on the calm blue water by the Isola Bella and Isola del Pescatore islands leading towards the Alps mountains in the distance. Printed by F. Champenois, St Michel, Paris. Good condition, repaired tears, minor staining, punched holes on left margin, backed on linen.
