Original antique travel advertising poster - Switzerland The St. Gothard Electric Railway / Suisse Ligne Electrifiee Du Gothard - featuring scenic artwork by Daniele Buzzi (b. 1890) depicting a train travelling at speed crossing a railway bridge over a village and river with mountains in the background, the bold stylised text on the margin below. Opened in 1882, the alpine Gotthard Railway line runs north-south through Switzerland and the Gotthard Tunnel from Ticino to Immensee; the line was electrified in 1922. Good condition, restored folds, restored tears, restored paper losses, minor creasing, minor staining, backed on linen.
