About the Item

Original vintage travel advertising poster published by London County Council for London's Tramways Putney Heath and Wimbledon services. Great Art Deco style artwork by Tony Castle (1891-1971) featuring a man and lady riding horses on the heath, a tall tree framing the foreground and people playing golf in the background, the text above and below in stylized white letters with the tram service numbers. London County Council Tramways operated from 1899-1933 when they became part of the London Passenger Transport Board. Good condition, folded as issued, creases and folds.
