Original Vintage Poster Telegraph Less GPO Post Office WWII Modernist Typography

About the Item

Original vintage World War Two poster published by the GPO General Post Office as part of a Campaign to encourage the public to telephone and telegraph less often in order to save man power during the war, telegraph less, featuring a great Modernist typographic design by the British artist and illustrator Barnett Freedman (1901-1958) of bold white and black lettering against the black lined and blue striped background with the GPO logo in the corner. Printed for her majesty stationery office in Great Britain by Haycock Press, London. Large size. Horizontal. Good condition, folds, tears.
