Original vintage Art Deco travel poster for Cheltenham Spa - Stately buildings and stately trees combine to characterise this delightful Midland town - featuring a stunning design showing smartly dressed ladies walking below trees near a classic car driving in front of a statue [most likely that of the English polar explorer Edward Wilson (1872-1912) who was born in Cheltenham] and the regency style municipal office buildings on The Promenade below a lightly clouded blue sky with colourful flowers and deck chairs in the foreground. The Gloucestershire town of Cheltenham in England is noted for its Regency architecture and as a health spa resort as well as its many festivals including music and horse racing events. Issued by the Midland Red bus company (1905-1981). Good condition, restored tears, restored creasing, staining, backed on linen.
