This vintage movie poster is in excellent/near mint condition, light creasing, nicks and ageing on edges/margins. Very light wear on folds. Minor cross-fold separation/paper-loss. Writing on back, no bleed-through.

Saul Bass was born in New York. Bass was a rotund, jovial character. After studying at the Art Students League and graduating from Brooklyn College, he moved west at the age of 26, and is credited with introducing an East Coast sensibility to marketing. He saw advertising as a means for funding his passion for the movies, and after 6 years working with a number of agencies, he finally had the funds to establish his own.
