Original US film poster for Springtime for Thomas (1946)
This seven minute cartoon would have been shown before the main feature at the cinema. Tom and Jerry cartoons were extremely popular, and in the 40s nearly fifty of these shorts were produced. This animation was directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera.
Posters from the Tom and Jerry series are highly collectable, and the ones from the 1940s do not surface very often.
This poster is conservation linen backed it would be shipped rolled in a strong tube by Federal Express.
