William Conlon
William Conlon is a New York artist known for large-scale paintings and prints to prominence in the 80s. He is a professor of visual arts and the director of the Visual Arts Department at Fordham College, Lincoln Center. He has also taught at the Hunter College, University of California Irvine, Brooklyn College and Sarah Lawrence College. He is an active lecturer. His work rose in prominence beginning in the early 70s and his work is represented in numerous museum collections, including the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn; the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts, Dallas, Texas; the Grand Rapids Art Museum, Grand Rapids, Michigan; the Everson Museum of Art, Syracuse, New York; the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, New York; the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Massachusetts; Collections and commissions of the American Telephone and Telegraph, New York; First National City Bank of New York, Houston, Texas; International Business Machines, New York; Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc, New York; Shearman and Sterling, New York; Vesti Trust, Boston, Massachusetts; PepsiCo, Purchase, New York; Texas Instruments, Dallas, Texas; Chemical Bank, New York; and Saatchi and Saatchi, Los Angeles, California.
