About the Item

Antique Lithography Print with Sporting Dogs 19th Century A finely crafted lithograph showcasing three sporting dogs at rest. It is a colorful print of the late 19th century, encased in glass in a wooden carved frame. Litography is based on an invention by Alois Senefelder from 1798. In the 19th century, it was the printing process that enabled the industrial production of printed matter at low prices. In lithography, the image to be printed is carved upside down into a stone plate (usually limestone) which then serves as the printing plate. artfour is an owner-managed trading company that sells Black Forest wood carvings, antler furniture and an impressive variety of unique decorative items. Our antiques are on display in a century-old barn in southern Germany, which we renovated ourselves. Antiques have been our passion since the 1980s. We ship worldwide, perfectly packaged and with a money back guarantee. This allows us to be your preferred partner for the Black Forest and ancient art.
