Ferdinand-Sigismond Bach, known as Ferdinand Bac was a French cartoonist, artist and writer, son of an illegitimate nephew of the Emperor Napoleon. He also traveled widely in Europe and the Mediterranean. In his fifties, he began a career as a landscape gardener.
