Margot Lange Ascheim (1911–1995) was an Israeli artist born in Berlin, Germany, to a Jewish family. Fleeing Nazi persecution, she immigrated to Palestine in the 1930s, where she became part of the burgeoning Israeli art scene. Trained in painting and drawing, Ascheim was influenced by German Expressionism and the modernist movements of the early 20th century. Her work often explored themes of labor, community, and the human condition, reflecting her experiences as an immigrant and her deep connection to her new homeland. Ascheim’s paintings and prints gained recognition for their emotional depth and dynamic compositions, and she exhibited widely in Israel and internationally, contributing to the cultural identity of Israeli art during the mid-20th century.

This limited print is in 100% original, vintage condition and has aged to perfection! The print itself is in excellent shape showing no stains, rips or other wear whatsoever. The mat between the glass surrounding the print shows only minor yellowing. The intentionally patinaed wooden frame shows no damage and the hanging wire allows the print to be hung perfectly level.
