1850 Italy Pair Wunderkammer Vitrines with Natural Faux Fruits in Baroque Style

About the Item

In the 18th century the most important tables in Europe they were richly decorated with all types of fruit and flowers. To obtain the maximum effect of beauty and amazement, the splendid fruits created with wax by the great Turin master Francesco Garnier Valletti were used. In these two black wooden display cabinets there is a magnificent collection of these amazing fruits which reproduces perfectly the naturals ones, made from the Master Garnier Valletti in Mid-19th Century. Nowadays exists in Torino, Italy, The Garnier Valletti Museum, fully dedicated to this production, with a copy of every kind of fruits known in the 19th Century Bibliography: University of Milano, The Garnier Valletti Collection of the Tree Collections Institute. Hoepli Edition, Milano, 1998 AA.VV. Fruits Museum, Umberto Allemandi & C. Edition, Torino, 1996 The pieces are in very good state of maintenance and they are guaranteed original in every parts. The surface was only cleaned not restored and it is original. The pieces have the Certificate of Authenticity. The documents will be shown on demand in case of interest.
