About the Item

A decoration from 1950s France in solid beech and plywood. The graphic silhouette, reminiscent of the door of a vehicle, evokes the streamlined shapes of the golden age of car design. The open, window-like space creates a natural frame, accentuating the features of the room in which the piece is installed. Smooth blonde wood lends an organic touch to the retro-futuristic design. The piece can be mounted to the wall with the attached metal cleat.

Antique English Oak Plank Door
Located in Wormelow, Herefordshire
An antique English oak plank door dating back to the 1600s suitable for interior or exterior use. Brimming with character, this reclaimed door tells the story of 17th century craftsmanship. To one side, it is constructed using horizontal planks, the original hinges still present after more than 350 years, while the other features vertical plank construction. With its aged look, this reclaimed plank door would suit a period property, complementing the character of uneven floors and imperfect architectural features.
