Early 19th Century Oval Medallion plaque crest From the Famous State Barge “Maria wood” a history going back to the 1480's. It was renamed the Maria Wood in the 19th century, taking its name from the last of the city barges. A massive and highly ornate steamboat built in 1816 She had been named after the daughter of the Lord Mayor of London.
An Oval Medallion mounted on and overlapping a square hand carved wood back with a thick chain attached to it, as seen in the detailed pictures.
