An antique carved oak French decorative wall panel with a green baize backdrop dating from circa 1850.
An unusual piece, this antique wall sculpture depicts a high relief, still life type scene exceptionally carved into wood. At the centre is an urn shaped watering can with laurel garland. Beside it are two doves in a basket alongside a brush, a knife and a sprig of flowers, creating an idyllic country garden scene.
A handsome feature piece for a traditionally styled cottage, this antique carved oak decorative wall panel is more than 170 years old, offering a glimpse into French 19th century styles and craftsmanship.
