Framed and mounted on plywood measuring 15.5" x 27.25" x 2". #2574 Angela Kosta Driessen, also known as Angela Kosta, was a contributor to the 1966 "Artists Tower of Protest" (also known as "The Peace Tower"). The Peace Tower was a 58 foot steel tetrahedron which was erected in 1966 on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles to protest the Vietnam War. The structure had 418 panels attached to it and it was designed by the sculptor Mark di Suvero. Artists from around the world contributed to the tower, including Elaine de Kooning, Roy Lichtenstein, and Robert Rauschenberg (who provided the bulk of the funding to complete the work).
