About the Item
An impressive, heavy ceramic bowl made by Løvemose Keramik, one of the most recognizable artistic ceramics studios in Denmark in the 20th century. This unique piece embodies the essence of Scandinavian brutalism and naturalism in one – it combines the strength of raw material with the poetics of glaze.
Scandinavian functional sculpture – raw, with character, yet sensual in its details.
The form of the bowl, made of dark brown clay with the addition of chamotte, is solid.
The rim is finished with a rough, almost stone-like texture that contrasts with the interior, where a spectacle of colors appears: intense orange mixes with beige and foamy, deep brown, creating a dynamic, organic composition reminiscent of lava or a volcanic landscape.
The bowl has been designed for both horizontal and vertical display – thanks to special holes, it can be hung on the wall like a painting or placed on a table, chest of drawers, or console, where it will become the focal point of the arrangement.
