About the Item

A folk art carved wood horse memorial plaque with the Norwegian word “Erindring” meaning rememberance, circa 1890. Looks to have originally held a work on canvas or textile art. The shrinkage or alligatoring of the antique varnish gives this piece it’s character. 18 ½ inches wide by ½ inch deep by 8 inches tall
